The Initiative Furnier + Natur e. V. (IFN) is the international lobby for manufacturers and traders of veneer and other renewable raw materials. In addition to the regular members, the IFN has partner supporting members such as suppliers, processors, associations and trade fair companies.
With wood as a raw material and other renewable natural materials, sustainability is very close to our hearts. Our member companies take responsibility for the environment and climate with their products. Our goal is to sensitize everyone to the idea of sustainability and to convince them to prefer ecological products over non-sustainable ones when buying or upcycling.
IFN is a network and marketing community for its members. To this end, it publishes content for the trade and consumer media throughout the year in all communication channels and formats and at live events, such as trade fair appearances or meetings. Every member company can use IFN to launch its products, projects and innovations to the public. In addition to classic press and public relations work, IFN publishes emotional films, photo campaigns, interesting architectural projects and lifestyle products for consumers in social media. It also offers its member companies assistance with technical issues relating to standardization or international legislation. It positions its members clearly on climate and environmental policy. This also includes positions on the global forestry and timber industry.
The IFN gives visibility to its members and provides a constructive exchange. It puts the competence of the European veneer world and other renewable resources in the foreground. Therefore, it is perceived very positively as an international, future-oriented marketing community and information platform. The IFN is unique and independent.

You have your topics written about and disseminated by IFN. IFN is your PR agency: competent, confident in writing and with excellent trade press and public contacts. An annual media review documents printings and publications.

IFN supports you at trade fairs. Together, placements, package offers or other conditions can be successfully argued and bring advantages. IFN opens up funding opportunities for your export activities within the framework of the German government's foreign trade fair program.

The IFN answers your technical inquiries. It arranges for technical experts, for example experts or consultants. It informs you about changes in national or European standards and legislation. This includes, for example, the European Timber Trade Regulation (EUTR), certifications for imports of timber, such as FLEGT, fsc, pefc, or the public procurement of timber and timber products and their certification for immission control, emission control or occupational safety.

As an IFN member, you actively participate in all decision-making processes with your voting rights. You determine where the journey goes in order to advance the topic of veneer and other renewable raw materials together.
