The Merkscha veneer factory based in Gratwein (AUT) and Celje (SLO), is a family business with over 70 years of experience. Our factory is Europe´s only custom cutting veneer mill, meaning we produce exclusively for our customers. With state-of-the-art machinery and above all, the care of our long-time employees, we can ensure optimal work-up. Our product range includes wood steaming and cutting from 0.3mm to 5.2mm. We are a company with long tradition, which can stand out above all with high-quality processing of heavy cuts of all types of wood.

• Sliced veneers: 4 knives with a working width of 4m to 5.2m and a cutting thickness of 0.20mm - 5.0mm and 2 Staylogknife machines from Grenzebach
• Rotary cut veneer: 3 peeling machines, two of them 3,30m long, one for burl wood 1,5m long
• Dryers: 6 iron dryers, with a length of 4.20m - 6m
• Presses: 2 continuous presses with heating and cooling press
• Scissors: 3 scissor lanes with laser-guided knife

• Saw: 1 saw: logs up to 5.2m long, up to 1.2m wide, 1 saw: logs up to 6m long, up to 2m wide
