In particular, the producers of lifestyle products, such as handbags, have discovered the enormous potential of veneer in recent years. And the creations made of wafer-thin wood are really well received among female consumers. Each handmade handbag made of fine veneer is not only a real eye-catcher, but is also always a unique one-off. Because no two veneer patterns are the same. Also, women's bags made of veneer are also impressive when it comes to sustainability.
Wood regrows again and again and during its growth phase it captures CO2, which is harmful to the environment. The natural material therefore makes an important contribution to climate protection. This ecological aspect is also becoming increasingly important economically. “More and more consumers attach most importance on lifestyle products not only being aesthetically pleasing, but also that they are sustainable. Fine handbags made of veneer, with which women generate their very own individual look while at the same time demonstrating their awareness for the environment, also benefit from this trend”, says Ursula Geismann, Secretary of Initiative Furnier + Natur, and add: “There is also, of course, an assortment for men, who will also be delighted.” IFN/RK
