Schorn & Groh: Major project in Dubai - Eywa Experience Centre shines in noble splendour thanks to Paldao veneer

Bonn/Karlsruhe. Schorn & Groh - a proven expert in the procurement and production of fine wood veneers from Karlsruhe - has implemented an extraordinary project together with the internationally active property developers of ‘R.Evolution' and the renowned interior designer ‘EMKAY' in Dubai. The veneer experts supplied around 1,600 square metres of raw Paldao veneer from the ‘One of a Kind' collection for the luxurious ‘Eywa Experience Center' residential building, which was combined to create a harmonious, mirror-image pattern.

The wood, which comes from South East Asia and was used for doors, furniture and wall panelling, is characterised by its warm colour tones and attractive grain. While Paldao wood usually has a rather subtle structure, this specific trunk impresses with its particularly striking appearance. For this reason, it has been included in Schorn & Groh's exclusive One-of-a-Kind collection. This collection only includes veneers that come from the world's best logs and offer an exceptional or unique grain. As in the prestigious project in Dubai: the Paldao veneer used lends elegance and luxury to the rooms furnished with it in the exclusive boutique residence with its 50 luxurious units - consisting of elegantly furnished residential units, naturally designed communal areas, private waterfalls and a communal library, among other things - in keeping with the One-of-a-Kind collection from the Karlsruhe-based veneer specialist. Marc Siegel, Sales Consultant at Schorn & Groh, was instrumental in the successful realisation of this impressive project. ‘We worked closely with EMKAY Interior to advise the team on the selection of the ideal veneer. Together, we selected the perfect log of the exclusive Paldao veneer from the ‘One of a Kind' collection,' says Siegel. The company is particularly proud of its close partnership with EMKAY Interior and the exceptional results that this collaboration has produced. ‘The fusion of craftsmanship and innovation has created impressive spaces of unrivalled elegance and sophistication, making the project a true masterpiece,' says Siegel proudly. Ursula Geismann, Managing Director of the Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN) and long-time trend analyst in design matters, can only agree: ‘The project realised with the noble and individual veneer forms a perfect symbiosis of opulence, sustainability and well-being. You can only achieve something like this with the real ‘fillet of the tree'.' IFN/DS
